Aww... They're So Cute!
To some people, a jigsaw puzzle is just a jigsaw puzzle, and while the actual task of placing the different pieces together is relatively similar across every session, it's that sense of satisfaction that you get when you complete a puzzle that makes it all worthwhile. And it certainly helps if the final image is as absolutely adorable as the lovely animals that you will find within this fantastic puzzle collection.
Offering 50 brand new puzzles for you to enjoy, this title will provide hours of entertainment as you carefully take each piece and find its rightful place in the grander scheme of things. Inside, you'll find whimsical chickens, beautiful birds, playful pigs, delightful dogs, and even a set of groundhogs who call themselves the Three Amigos. The photo-realistic images will astound you with their detail, but it's definitely the "cute" factor that will keep you coming back for more.
As Easy or Difficult As You Want
People who don't play with jigsaw puzzles on a regular basis can sometimes be intimidated by the number of pieces and the complexity of the image. Clearly, the task can be incredibly daunting, so much so that one may want to give up altogether and try something entirely different. That need not happen here. On the easiest end of the scale, a puzzle can be composed of just four pieces. Yes, just four.
On the other end of the scale are the settings for the most advanced of jigsaw aficionados. You can take any puzzle and make it consist of hundreds and hundreds of pieces! Thankfully, there are several settings in between to fit any skill level. It's also great that each puzzle image can be dynamically altered to fit any of these levels of difficulty.
For an added challenge, you can adjust the level of skew (none, medium, high), making for non-linear edges and less conformity to the grid pattern. You can also set the shape of each piece (square versus standard jigsaw) and whether there is piece rotation (no rotation means that the pieces are already aligned the correct way).
Tools, Helpers, and Hints
When you first set out to solve a puzzle, it is very helpful to go into the menu on the bottom-left portion of the screen and get it to only display edges. This way, you can form the frame of the image before having to deal with any of the center bits. Furthermore, if you hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard while you click with your mouse, you will create a "shockwave" of sorts where the mouse is pointing. This causes the loose pieces in the area to scatter, helping you better see what bits are available.
The preview image (of the completed photograph) can also be moved around at your whimsy, as well as removed altogether if you feel that it is just getting in the way. If you activated piece rotation, this is achieved with the space bar.
A Delightful Puzzle Collection
If you're an animal lover, then you most definitely should get your hands on this fantastic collection of animals. You've got everything from the barnyard to domestic animals, the exotic to the hilarious. I particularly enjoyed the killer whale asking to be fed and the zebra showing off their "tushes."
