Jigsaw'd
Jigsaw puzzles are a very special kind of experience. They can provide hours of fun, given that you have the patience. They're known the world over and can be enjoyed by just about any age group; it's simply a matter of matching pictures and shapes. They can be perfect for a relaxed, calm evening, but throwing a time limit into the mix can provide for the some of the most stressful, grueling challenges that you'll ever face. A lot can be done with puzzles and the Super Jigsaw series of games have been producing quality puzzle games for quite a long time.
The Super Jigsaw series gets rid of the worst problem plaguing puzzles: the pieces. Now, I know it can be fun to dump a box of pieces all over the dining room table. You prop the box lid up so that you can see the picture and you go from there. However, having your dining room table constantly occupied can be pretty annoying. That's why the idea of puzzles on the computer makes so much sense. You can enjoy them all you want with none of the hassles or the cluttered mess. Sure, it may not be as nostalgic, but it's easier and it's a lot more organized.
Puzzles From the Future
Not only does Super Jigsaw Puzzle Caboodle eliminate the need to clean up, but because it's all digital, it introduces a whole load of options that wouldn't even be possible with a real jigsaw. Once you choose a picture that you want to use, you can modify your experience in a number of ways. You can change the difficulty by changing the number of pieces. Some puzzles offer anywhere from 4 pieces to over a thousand. That's a huge difficulty gap and will ensure that people of all ages can find something that they like here.
By messing with the skew option, you can decide how distorted you want your puzzles pieces. I personally prefer that classic, clean-cut shape but it can definitely be fun mixing it up now and again. Another option you have is the overall shape of the pieces. You can choose either classic jigsaw or a simple square. A square may sound boring, but you'd be amazed at much it ramps up the difficulty. Try completing a puzzle of over a thousand squares then we'll talk.
Finally, you can allow the pieces to rotate. When this option is checked on, hit the spacebar while you have a fragment selected to rotate it clockwise. Like the shape option, this option dramatically increases the difficulty. Throw in over a thousand squares with rotation turned on and be prepared to sit at your computer for a week!
More Fun Than You Think
I never would have thought I would enjoy piecing together a jigsaw puzzle on my computer but that's exactly what has happened. Caboodle is a fantastic game and the best part is, with all of the options, it can provide you with almost unlimited fun. If you're not sure, give the trial a whirl and you'll be hooked in no time!
