Four Exciting Ways to Play
When you pick up Mahjong Medley, you are really picking up four games in one! This makes it an absolutely exceptional value! The different modes are:
Classic: This is the traditional game where you must select matching pairs of tiles based on their "availability." A tile must not be covered from above, and it must be "free" on either the left or the right. Clear the board in the fastest time to get the most bonus points.
Ten: Instead of finding pairs of tiles that are the same suit and same value, you must match them up in a way that they add up to ten. They must still be the same suit (a "bamboo" with a "bamboo", for example), but "matching pairs" would be four and six, three and seven, and so on. This extra twist makes for quite the original experience.
Addiction: A whole new way to play. There are nine sets of tiles (three of each suit), numbering from one to nine. Your goal is to arrange them in order in the available spaces, and the only move available to you is to move a tile into a space wherein the game piece to its left is of the same suit and is one value lower than it. Strategy is absolutely paramount, but don't worry. There are hints to let you know which tiles are available to move (green arrow) and which spaces it can be shifted to (yellow highlight). Very enjoying and very engaging.
Freecell: Sometimes in the traditional game, you get stuck with a tile blocking a huge pile of pieces. Wouldn't it be nice to set that blocker aside for a few moves while you work on the rest of the field? With Freecell, you can. There are two spaces off to the side where any two tiles can be temporarily placed. They must still be cleared, of course, before the round can end.
An Endless Supply of Fun
With 100s of uniquely designed layouts, several different tile sets (including one that involves the alphabet rather than symbols), and incredibly crisp graphics, this offering is one that you will turn back to again and again. The four different game modes add a lot of replay value! Go ahead, embark on a journey to the Far East and experience these original tile-matching adventures!
