It Starts with Channel 7 Action News

Dr. Susan Anderson thought that it was just another day at the office, hanging out with her daughter at the city's museum. All of a sudden, they were hit with an earthquake and they were trapped inside the building. Luckily, they were able to escape largely unharmed but the same cannot be said about the exhibits found inside.

Channel 7 Action News arrived on the scene to interview Dr. Anderson and, while she was certainly shaken up, she was glad that she was able to escape from the rubble. As the months wore on, she started to feel the itch for adventure again, not being completely satisfied with the ho-hum day-to-day activities of the museum. The recovery process was still underway, but the museum needed some help. And then, Dr. Anderson got it.

The Adventure of a Lifetime

While sitting in her office one day, Dr. Susan Anderson receives a phone call from someone who claims to have the famed journal of T.R. Benson. This was a man that was famous for finding a lot of incredible treasures and he documented all of his finds (and his leads) in this journal. Many of the treasure that had been found by Benson were subsequently hidden at various locations around the globe. And this anonymous tipster was willing to give the journal to Dr. Anderson.

She thought that she was done with her globe-trotting and danger-seeking ways, but such an opportunity to fill her museum with amazing new exhibits simply could not be ignored. Snatching up the T.R. Benson journal, Dr. Anderson packs her backs so that you can help her find some of these terrific treasures.

The near photo-realistic scenes depicted at 30 terrific locations around the world really add to the sense of adventure. You will be provided with a list of items that you must find at each location, but not all of these are immediately available to be found. You need to use some of your archeological skills.

Adjusting the Landscape

While this game doesn't do much in terms of offering mini-games along the way, each of the stages is much more robust than a simple seek-and-find. There are tools and items that will be made available to you, and these must be used to fulfill your goals.

For example, an archeologist's brush can be used to remove dust and debris, revealing objects that may not have been otherwise visible to the naked eye. Further still, the environment can be altered by using certain tools. These are typically in line with the hints and riddles depicted in the Benson journal.

For instance, you may need to find a hidden key that can then open a locked box. Inside the locked box may be a crank that can be used to adjust the time on a clock. Setting the clock to a certain time may open a secret compartment. And so on. This progression leads you deeper and deeper into the mysteries of these treasures.

You never know where the hunt for treasure may lead you. Who knows? There may be a great find right under your nose!
