There are very few things in this world that are quite as motivating as unfathomable quantities of treasure. Sure, you've been hired by the Museum to embark on this quest and you may or may not be able to keep any of the gold that is bound to be discovered, but the very nature of this adventure should be enough to get the juices flowing!
In this third iteration of the Amazing Adventures franchise, you have the opportunity to transverse your way across a tropical paradise in search of the Caribbean Secret. As it turns out, a Spanish ship loaded with gold once dissapeared here. It's a princely sum, to be sure, and it's there for the taking - all you have to do is find it. Set sail. Adventure awaits!
How Much Assistance Do You Need?
It's easy to get caught up in the addictive gameplay and the amazingly artwork in this fun title. The default setting is a timed game but you can opt for a more relaxing experience by switching to "Relaxed" mode.
Diving into the game options, you will find that there are two very major alterations that you can make to this game, above and beyond options for full screen gameplay and music volume. The first is to get rid of the timer for a more relaxed game. The second is the ability to get an infinite number of hints. So it is up to you to get as much or as little help as you want.
The Cryptic Nature of Treasure Hunts
The tropical environment in this game and the variety of objects that need to be found are already quite interesting on their own, but there is something a little more in this newest adventure.
In addition to regular items that are a little easier to understand, like buckets and palm trees, there are also objects that sound a little more like crossword clues. For example, the list of items that need to be found may include a clue like "witch's ride" or "wind-powered watercraft." These refer to a broom and a sailboat, respectively.
For each of the 25 missions that you'll encounter along the way, you will also have at least one object on the list that is multi-faceted. For example, you may need to find a hidden pin and then stab it into a voodoo doll to complete your task.
More than Meets the Eye
The clue-seeking missions provide a fun adventure in the traditional hidden objects genre, but the missions are comprised of two parts. The second part offers a unique puzzle trap and each of these is different. There are word searches, match-three games, "find the difference", "spot the differences" games, and many more.
If you're looking for a wholly exciting, thrilling, and fulfilling quest for treasure in an exotic location, this is definitely the title for you. The added bonuses of unlimited hints, unique items to find, and terrific mini-game missions help to break up the action, resulting in an overall adventure that truly is unlike any other.
