I'm John Dillinger
Depending on who you talk to, John Dillinger was an anti-hero. He wore a fedora, a trench coat, and used a tommy gun. He robbed banks. He even broke out of prison! While crime is generally frowned upon, bank heists are something that all males fantasize about. John Dillinger was the ultimate bad boy.
In Amazing Heists: Dillinger, you get your chance to jump in the fancy shoes of one of America's most notorious criminals and a man who was at one point public enemy number one.
Planning a Heist
Planning a heist is not an easy affair. Fortunately, it's a heck of a lot of fun. It will take searching, keeping order amongst panicking bank patrons, more searching, and cracking the safe. I know that last step is the one that everyone was looking forward to and it doesn't disappoint.
After the first round of searching, you'll need to keep the panicked bank customers from leaving the bank. Customers will be fleeing towards the door and all you have to do is position your henchman in front of the door to send them back the way they came. Coins will appear that you can collect for extra cash, but going out of your way for one could let someone slip by!
After the third searching round, you get to crack the safe! This little memory game plays out like Simon. you need to arrange the colored keys in the right order. If you mess up, you have to start all over again, which is where a good memory will come in handy.
The actual hidden objects portion of Amazing Heists is an absolute blast to play, with a huge helping of hidden items as well as plenty of secrets to find.
In each level - and by level I mean an entire bank, which is comprised of several stages - there are nine coins to find, each with a letter of "Dillinger". Find all of them for a serious cash bonus. The same applies for hidden wanted posters featuring John and his gang, as well as stacks of cash. Also hidden throughout are tiny safe icons, each of which found give you an additional 10 seconds when cracking the safe. Hunting down all of these secret trinkets is a lot of fun and earning extra time during the safe cracking stage is great for those that don't think points are a good enough incentive.
Telling a Story
The writing in games is always hit or miss, but here it's top notch. The dialogue and interactions between Dillinger, his gang, and the innocents they come across are well-written and very engaging. The charm that our lead criminal exudes almost makes you forget that he was, in fact, a major criminal!

Amazing Heists: Dillinger is a great game. All of the little mini-games mesh to create a really fun package that goes beyond the traditional hidden objects genre. Throw in the entertaining writing and you've got yourself a great experience.
