Everyone Wants a Rich Uncle

The backbone of any good game is a great story and the one that lies beneath this title has to be one of the most original and creative ones that I have encountered in some time. While Annie's Millions may appear to be your standard hidden objects style game, the tale told is what will draw you into its unique sense of humor.

Annie is the niece to her rich uncle Dave, a man who happens to have amassed quite the impressive fortune. He also happens to be quite the eccentric and unconventional millionaire. While anyone else would set up his will to bequeath his riches when he dies, Uncle Dave has decided to do this while he is still alive. Annie must now face off against two of her cousins -- the posh Milly and the sporty Carl -- to see who will receive all that cash!

A Shopping Spree of a Lifetime

Uncle Dave has decided on quite the interesting competition between his possible heirs. As his niece, Annie is now set on a mission to spend a million dollars more quickly and more efficiently than her two cousins. How's that for a fun challenge?

Visiting a variety of stores all around the city, Annie will be provided with a list of items that she wishes to purchase with that million dollars. As you can probably expect, many of these shops aren't particularly organized, so it will take some hunting to find that beret and blouse. No one said that shopping would be easy! Unlike some other similar games, however, the hidden items are actually contextually accurate, so you won't be looking for a hidden aardvark in a jewelry store.

Pricing Games for Bonus Hints

Are you a big fan of Bob Barker and the many years where he hosted the terrific Price is Right television show? Did you get caught up with all of those interesting games that the contestants got to play? Now you get to enjoy a variation on those pricing games under very different circumstances.

While this particular game does not include Plinko, you do get to partake in some unique pricing games that each unlock an additional hint that you can use in any of the levels along your cash-spending journey.

With Price Guess, you must accurately guess the price of a randomly selected item. All items are pegged at $5 increments and you are given four tries in all. After each attempt, you are told to bid higher or lower. With Price Match, you must match three items with their associated price tags. And with Sort Items, you must organize a random assortment of products in order of price, starting with the cheapest and leading to the priciest.

All's Fun in Cash and Money

While no one will mistake the visuals in Annie's Millions as real photographs of real scenes, the artwork depicted here is very pleasing to the eye and you'll really enjoy the story as it unfolds along your shopping spree with Annie. This is a great entry-level hidden objects game for beginners too, because there is no pressure from a clock or a shortage of clicking attempts. Take your time and enjoy your time spending Uncle Dave's money.
