Venture into the Lost City
Take a trip to a destination that you will not find on any map. Atlantis may be considered a long lost city, but you'll find yourself diving right into the forgotten civilization with this fantastic arcade-style puzzle game. With personalized player profiles, gave save features, rustic graphics, and an astounding soundtrack, Atlantis is a ball-busting adventure you will not want to miss!
You take control of a space-age ship at the bottom of the screen that apparently comes with an unlimited supply of multi-colored balls. You steer this vessel by simply moving your computer mouse, shooting those brightly painted balls by clicking the left mouse button. Above you is a long train of colored balls that are slowly trekking toward the exit: you don't want to lose any of them, and the way that you collect these marbles is by creating matching sets of three or more. Can't find an appropriate slot to shoot the current ball in your hopper? Simply right-click to swap to an alternate ball! Try to create explosive combinations, avoid inaccurate shots (the launched ball will "stick" to the first train it makes contact with), and you'll be well on your way to victory.
Unlock the Secret Powers Within
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of this title is that it contains a wide range of power-ups that you can catch during the actual gameplay by collecting certain balls (after bursting, a specially marked ball will slowly float toward the bottom of the screen). Some of these special containers will provide you with a currency simply referred to as "credits." You can cash in these "credits" after each level to purchase any variety of power-up, but of course, the simple bonus items are far less expensive than the more profound ones. Choose from such bonuses as one that slows down the moving set of balls, one that speeds up your shooting power, one that provides an accuracy beam, and even one that will supply you with an extra life. And then there are even greater extras like "pop chains", "color bombs", and "the Soul of Atlantis." Use these at any time during a level by pressing the Enter or Return key on your computer keyboard.
Combining Color with a Sense of Age
This fantastic title provides an interesting fusion of visuals. On the one hand, you have the vibrantly colored and highly detailed balls that are the target of the game. On the other hand, the backgrounds, scoreboard, and other elements breathe with a certain sense of age, giving a rustic, almost "ancient" feel to the game that brings you back to the legendary times when Atlantis once existed. The same can be said about the electronic music that plays in the background, offering a futuristic, nearly "mechanical" atmosphere that perfectly complements the historic style of graphics.
An Incredible Arcade Puzzler
There are nearly 100 beautiful levels to enjoy, each becoming successively more difficult as you progress through them. You will be challenged with increasingly more complicated designs consisting of overlapping patterns, burrowing tunnels, and routes that block access to the rest of the balls. Each stage is not quite like the last, providing a unique affair. Dial in, unleash the powerful bonuses, and you just may unlock the secrets to the long lost city of Atlantis.
