The City That Never Sleeps

We all need a vacation sometimes, but it's not always possible to just pack up and go. We have time commitments and let's not forget about the financial hurdles. Thankfully, you're able to visit some great locations all around the globe at a fraction of the price, if only vicariously and digitally through the Big City Adventure series.

For the latest jaunt, the family is packing its bags and heading over to New York City. This is because Grandma and Grandpa grew up in the Big Apple and they haven't been back to their hometown in ages. Needless to say, a lot has changed... but a lot of it still feels familiar. Follow mom, dad, brother, sister, granny and gramps as they head all around the big city to see everything that it has to offer. Care to catch a Broadway show?

A World Filled with Wonder

There are no cities in America that are quite as busy and quite as bustling as New York City. Not surprisingly, when you arrive at each of the tourist attractions around town, you will be bombarded with plenty of bright colors, highly detailed scenes, and cluttered streets as far as the eye can see.

The positively amazing thing about this particular title is that it contains no fewer than ninety different missions, sending you to just about every nook and cranny of the Big Apple. Soak in the lights of Times Square, enjoy the cultural diversity of Little Italy and Chinatown, and even grab some history from Grant's Tomb. Each stage is more terrific and incredible than the one that preceded it.

The visuals are positively stunning in this game, but don't expect much in terms of utter realism. It's not out of the ordinary here to find a broomstick stuck to the side of the taxi and a zebra sticking its head out of a skyscraper. This approach beautifully blends the real world attractions with surreal creative expression.

Some people will tell you that money makes the world go 'round and the people from Wall Street can attest to that. In each of the 90 different missions, you'll have the chance to find some golden tokens that will help you on your New York holiday. Acquire these extra hints and bonuses, but use them carefully; they carry over from stage to stage.

In between each of the main object-finding missions, you will be presented with 90 unique puzzle mini-games. This is a fantastic value, since you can indulge in some match-three, dabble in some logic puzzles, and seek pairs in Mahjong solitaire. The variety is stunning.

The Biggest Big City Adventure Yet

Whether or not you've ever been to New York City in real life, this is a fantastic game that will keep you occupied for hours and days on end. With nearly 100 different missions, each of which is comprised of a hidden objects stage and a puzzle stage, there is no shortage of amazing variety and eye-popping adventure. Better still, the "seek and find" environments are all animated, just like the breakneck pace of the real Big Apple.
