Get a Clue

Clue has always been about lighthearted fun, despite revolving around a murder. The opening music to Clue: Accusations and Alibis, although new, somehow feels familiar. This is the board game we all know and love, but updated!

A Mystery!

A millionaire mogul has gone missing and everyone knows that something fishy is going on. It's up to you to solve the case according to the old Clue trifecta: room, weapon, and killer!

An Updated Classic

You'll search the entire house, which includes updated rooms like the patio, theater, and spa. Gone are the old locations, such as the billiards room. The classic weapons are there, along with some new ones. And the character roster is a more modern take on the old - with each character simply going by their last names. Colonel Mustard is now just Mustard, and so on.

Process of Elimination

The process of elimination will be your best friend here. As you search for clues as to who did it, you'll find more information about who didn't do it. This has always been the strategy for the board game and it's incorporated wonderfully into this hidden objects game.

As you search rooms, you'll find a lot of evidence. Each room is littered with objects that will help you pinpoint the murderer. You'll also find one weapon in each location, and most locations also contain a coat check ticket, which will further help your investigation.

Clue has always been about collaborating with other people, and here it's more important than ever. After you search each location, some of the characters will give you hints. Sometimes they can flat out tell you what wasn't involved in the murder, but usually it's something more vague, something that requires you to check your evidence.

For example, if someone tells you that the murderer did not wear a leather jacket, and Plum's coat check ticket says he was wearing exactly that, then you can rule out Plum.

You can search all the rooms as often as you like, but if you pay attention to the numerous hints and clues, you should be able to solve the case in no time flat.

No More Paperwork

One of my biggest problems with playing the board game was the amount of scratch paper I had piled in front of me. I'm meticulous in my note-taking, so I would constantly be scribbling things down. Fortunately, the game does all the work for me. Clue: Accusations and Alibis keeps track of all of your hints and information, all in one convenient place. Tabs at the top of the screen let you navigate through your checklists and evidence log, making you feel like a real detective.

Who Done It?

Clue: Accusations and Alibis does a beautiful job incorporating the classic mystery game into a modern day hidden objects detective experience. It goes beyond the genre and really requires you to think, which can't be said for many games. If you're a fan of either, you're going to be a fan of this.
